Bangalore Urban District Chess Association

The Bangalore Urban District Chess Association (BUDCA) has been formed under the Aegis of the United Karnataka Chess Association (Karnataka State Chess Association) with the purpose of encouraging and promoting game of chess in Bengaluru Urban area.

The BUDCA, is a non Profitable organisation led by a team of 13 women with a passion to promote the game of chess in namma Bengaluru. This group is a rare combination of chess players, chess parents and chess organizers. BUDCA was formed when these 13 minds joined together with a common dream and cause of taking chess to greater heights.

Main Objectives of BUDCA are :

  • To encourage, promote, develop and stabilize the game of chess and to conduct tournaments in Bangalore urban.
  • To arrange taluk, inter taluk, District, inter District, state, national and international level and such other matches and tournaments.
  • To facilitate training programs for chess players.
  • To supervise and encourage academies/schools/companies to conduct tournaments by providing tournament guidelines and infrastructure and technical support.
  • To Form rules and guidelines for smooth conduct of tournaments.
  • The activities would be purely charitable in nature and not motivated for profit.

BUDCA is committed to bring remarkable changes by conducting various tournaments and chess related programs. Our vision includes decreasing the gender gap by encouraging young girls to take up chess and support them in all the ways.
